Overview
When applying for a rental property on Snug, you’ll be asked to provide your income details. This helps agents and landlords assess your application fairly and efficiently.
What income should I enter?
- Enter your average gross weekly income (before tax and excluding superannuation).
- Do not enter your full annual salary or after-tax amount.
- If you receive Centrelink or Government benefits, add these separately on the next page.
Step-by-step guide
- Go to the Income section of your Snug application.
-
Enter your gross weekly income in Australian Dollars (AUD).
- Example: If you earn $1,000 per week before tax, enter “1000”.
- The system will automatically calculate your annual income and display it for you.
- Add any Centrelink or Government benefits on the following page.
- Review your details before submitting. Once added, income details can’t be edited. If you need to make changes, you’ll need to delete the entry or add a new one.
